I am waiting for my plane in the boarding room now. Lucky I bring my macbook everywhere so everytime I have to wait for something, I can just kill the time by going online. Luckily in KL too, practically every corner is wireless covered area. Hmmm I wonder what happened to the WiMaX thingy that supposed to be implemented in the Klang Valley area. I think they need time to cover the whole of Klang Valley area & put up the infrastructure, study the feasibility of the connectivity, testing it and etc. I am sure the first few years, those wimax going to be sucks, big time! Sorry to WiMaX people, I am not underestimate you but usually the pilot project going to show flaws etc & I am sure it will improve over time. Ha.ha.
Anyway, I am using the KLIA-LCC wireless connection right now & terribly cursing every minute of it. I can’t even establish the connection for my Mercury program (It’s a MSN-client program meant for Mac). Hmmm probably I am sitting far from the router, so I can’t blame the connection for being like a turtle. LOL.
The great one pick me up & sent me to the airport just now. Before sending me, we drop by Ganesh for the last round of rawa thosai, chicken varuval & a teh tarik. Yummy. It was touching when the great one were asked by the lady boss of the shop of why I am not going to the place to eat anymore. awww. I’ve been practically eating almost everyday for the past 3 years. I am sure everyone recognize me there & know what I want to eat. LOL.
I am so gonna miss KL! Not that KL is the best place to stay ( I still LOVE my Likas Bay, great blue-sky/ocean, fresh air, GREEN, laid-back atmosphere) but somehow I fall in love with KL too. Not the first love though (KK still the first! LOL).
By the time I’m typing the line, I’ve got another 20 minutes before boarding. Hopefully this flight won’t be delayed or something. LOL. Grace just texted me and said she’s still stuck in Malacca, on the way back to KL. Sad, can’t meet her before I board. Oh well, I am sure we’re going to meet again 2 months from now. and our end-year shopping Singapore trip!!
I’m having tea at Starbucks, Gardens near to the connecting bridge between the Gardens & Midvalley now. Not much happening today. Just that I went to my final round of shopping. I bought stuff for mom & dad too. A bag for her & yummy pineapple tart for my dad. Meanwhile I bought heaps of stuff for me. Mwhahaha.
I think I have found ‘the one’! I was at Isetan, Gardens just now; looking for a bag. I have found, touch, hold & even smell ‘the one’. It is one of the Salvatore Ferragamo bag like the one I mention in my previous post (Click here!). The one is so gorgeous, pure off-white leather! I was dumbfounded when I look at those. dang! But then I didn’t get it despite the temptation to just take the bag & runaway from the store without purchasing it. ha.ha. It cost about 2 & half months of my salary!
ah! Wait till I save enough money, then I’ll definitely take that item to my collection. In the mean time, I bought the white hip CK bag after 3 times of back & forth trip from the Gardens to Midvalley. Ah. I found another off-white/greyish CK back in Robinsons store but cost 3 times of the price of the bag I purchased but its pure leather. Maybe next time!
Oh, no. No more next time for me. Next time would be Salvatore Ferragamo for me!
Other than that, I was trying to locate Tower Records at Midvalley but then I just realized that the store is not there anymore. I searched for it in the directory & seems that they are not a tenant in the mall anymore. So sad. I then headed back to the Gardens to the Rock Corner to buy a couple of CDs. Mainly I want to buy CD that is not available in KK for couple of genre like Bebop. I was hoping to get the 1950s live concert of Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall. I do have the copy of the album entirely in my iTunes playlist but I feel that I don’t mind investing on GOOD music. In the end, I bought another album of Monk & a Jazz compilation album (Thelonious, Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, etc). Oh btw, the guy helping me finding the Monk album is quite impressed with my taste of music. mwhahaha. Not so many young people is into Jazz Bebop nowadays.
I bought another rosy-color ethnic print skirt from Isetan. I have been eyeing on that skirt since last December. However, I want the skirt in apple green but only the rosy-red is available at a very discounted price. When I first saw that skirt, it cost almost 200 bucks but then today I bought it for just less than a 50. LOL.
good!
I bought another white-color bag for my mom too. I just remembered that the Mother’s day is just ’round the corner. So I bought the bag for her then.
The great one will pick me up here & send me off to the airport. ah. I’m gonna miss shopping in KL.
N’mind. I’ll come to KL in August again! For my convocation.
p/s: I was at the Machines, Gardens just now too & toying around with Macbook Air. Very impressive design but such an overprice item for not-so-impressive spec.
3rd May 2008, 23 00 hours
I just came back from the Gardens again. I started off the day by having breakfast at Ganesh’s. I had my ever-favourite rawa thosai, curry chicken & a teh tarik with the great one. We then hang out at the corner bistro near to the Robinson, Gardens for another cuppa of coffee.
Had lunch with the great one in brickfields. We had the yummy-licious curry mee. Seems that the corner shop closed at moved to the new area near to the police station.
Roughly about 1pm, I arrived at the Bangsar Village 2 for another round of, erm shopping. LOL. I went to the FJ Benjamin Branded sale. Heaps of stuff around selling at discounted price such as Guess wear, watches, bags & accecories, Raoul shirts, Banana Republic, Gap, La Senza lingerie and so on. Too many people in the place & in the end I didn’t get anything. Sigh. Had cendol & some prawn dumpling at Madam Kwan’s with my cousin & her husband after that.
We headed to Mutiara Damansara for another round of shopping. Ha,ha. We spend the whole afternoon at Ikea. I bought my coaster & a cookie jar at Ikea & some stuff for my mom, mainly some kitchen appliance. I’m catching up with my long-lost Ikea’s famous Swiss meatball too.
Wanted to go to the Curve but by the time we check out from Ikea, all of us were too tired to walk to the Curve. They sent me back to MC & I met Sharon. Stayed there for an hour or so & headed back to the Gardens. I was trying to find a decent handbag & shoes but seems that I can’t get any.
Gotta go back to the Isetan tomorrow. Want to check out the Marc Jacob range of bag. LOL.
Yesterday I started off the day by having breakfast with the great one at Sri’s. Had their famous yummy-licious teh tarik, roti canai & another yummy varuval chicken curry. Gosh I missed Indian food so much.
Went to Pavilion KL after breakfast. I bought a couple of top from Forever 21, sunnies from A|X and pressed powder & a lip-gloss from Bobbi Brown. Ah, I love the gloss & the powder! J
I had seafood at the end of the plane runway at Sg Besi for dinner. Dinner was delicious! Had a four season for appetizer, followed by some prawn curry soup, steamed fish, spicy fried calamari, veggie, and many more.
Pretty much this trip, I spend & eat like no tomorrow. LOL.
