Saturday!

I woke up late this morning. argh! I supposed to drop by ABX before noon as today is saturday ( I assume they only open in the morning). I managed to settle everything before 12pm. Phew. Accoding to the ABX guy, my documents will transit in KL tomorrow and monday morning the document will be at the university in Penang.weeee!

Here is the thing, closing date for postgrad application for that particular university was yesterday. Okay, it was actually loosely define as online application closing date on the 27th february 2009. I submitted my application in January but I have yet to send the processing fees & other required certificates copies to them. I’m hoping that online application closed on the 27th but people can still send the hard copy after that (or is it required to submit all (online and hard copies) before 27th?

I’m hoping for the otherwise. My application goes thru in January but the hard copies will arrived this monday and still acceptable. *cross fingers*

I watch Street Fighter at GSC 1Borneo today too. I don’t want to review the movie, go see it yourself (bad sign).

I splurge on top for work today. I bought 2 from mng (gosh i hate this shop for being the only one that sells so-so clothing line in KK and still with (so-so) reasonable price. I tried on one so-called dress (pic below) and I love how it fit nicely to my body. But I didn’t get it as it soooooo not worth the money!

 

 

Other than that, my anterior thigh, hamstring, gluteals muscles and abdomen hurts! I can’t even sneeze, my abs terribly in pain. wargh. Looking at the bright side, the workout last nite works!  

I’m gonna stay home tonight. Need to relax those muscles.

Oh Kart flying off to ozzie tomorrow *sad* but early congrats on yr graduation! kalau kebaya nda jadi, beli yang pasang-siap yah kart!  

p/s: have you all watched slumdog millionaire? ah nice movie eh, curious case of benjamin button not bad too. Mr Pitt looks so muda in the movie. Younger than in Meet Joe Black. eh? Is he getting younger & younger like Benjamin? LOL.

Bride wars

I watched chick-flick Bride wars today at 1Borneo. Well, it is a romatic comedy & nothing much story in it except for endless designers wear (drool). For i-want-to-kill-time movie, this is the perfect movie to watch.

ah. I looooooove Anne Hathaway’s wedding gown in the film! Vera Wang 2005 Fall collection. It is off-shoulder, mermaid wedding gown as  shown in the movie poster.

On the other note, I finally visited that new bookstore in 1Borneo, Harris. Ok, ok, my second time to the bookstore ( I checked out on friday nite when I was there for the late night movie – Underworld 3 [ain't goin' to review that movie, sigh] ). 

Ren! Let’s go again to the bookstore!! Better range of books as compared to other bookstores in KK but definitely can’t compare to Kinokuniya or even Borders. 

Good. More non-fiction books! wooohooo! but then NO science & technology books ler. yikes. (Kau fikir urg KK nda baca this kind of book ka? WTF).

wooden book-case. beh. upscale sikit la tu but still…bluek. 

OK, I shall be thankful that new bookstore in KK becoming better than the existing. I can’t wait for another bookstore to open here. In suria sabah perhaps? Let’s hope for Borders! amen.

On another lighter note, for those of you that love to go to the laaate night movie in 1Borneo but you are there early to have your dinner and another short round of shopping, you would probably encounter some short period waiting for the movie (say 11.30pm movie) but you can’t do anything because the mall closed at 10pm. I’d suggest you all to go & hang out at the Best Western Courtyard Hotel open air bar/cafe at 6th floor. Nice view of Kg. Pulau Penampang, Alamesra & the 1Borneo supercondo that is still under construction. hahahaha. But really, nice place to hang out.

When I went there with my colleague the other night, we were their only patron at their premises.

Oh did I tell ya that my dad gave his ancient external Vivitar flash to me? Aw. I’ve to set up everything to manual as it doesn’t have that TTL-exposure system. So I have to determine the ISO on the camera to match the ASA in the flash. Auto-thyristor yo! bluek.

After work

I just came back from Kohinoor Indian Restaurant, KK Waterfront for dinner with friends particularly my dear Emily and her brother Leonel visiting KK. It’s been like 3-4 years since I last met her in.. hmm 1Utama, BU. She’s still the same ol’ bubbly and friendly gal & I absolutely love her around as we can practically talk about everything. 

Other than her, other All Saints’ were also invited like Ivan, Cath, Danielle, Gel and Derek. It was fun catching up with each other and mesmerize our time during school days as well as talking about what we are all doing now.

Anyway, some that i really hate, annoying person seems to be way, way better person now (meaning: wiser, more grown up) and some are still stuck like they were still in high school-kinda-thinking which is wierd according to Ivan. No comment. It pissed me off sometime. and i DID burst and scolding the person harshly today. Sorry peeps, I can’t stand the childish attitude anymore. Enough is ENOUGH.

Overall, we had fun talking & laughing until the restaurant closed. Ha,ha. So, everyone saying goodbye. *sob sob*

Some going back to Australia to continue study/internship and some moving back to UK to gain work experience. Only me and a few other ladies will be in KK, for at least these few months. 

In a way, I feel sad that everyone moving out of KK. When will be my time to do the same?

p/s: I still can’t find my sexay black corset. Will try to look for it tomorrow. and I’ll be meeting my tennis buddies from Miri tomorrow at 1Borneo!

New York New York!

I went to 1Borneo (again) with my cousins, nephew and nieces to watch Madagascar 2 and to dine in at New York New York. One of the latest must-go restaurant in KK! Well it is an all-American cruisine with everything in LARGE portion. Phew. Definitely not ideal for small eater like me but if its ‘meat’, I can consider myself a big-eater. Especially JUICY sirloin steak!

We had GIANT burger that 5 of us shared together.

I quench my thirst with strawberry somethin’, I can’t remember but it taste like my Dome’s Cranberry Juice. 

My nephew had a steak & it was YUMMY and JUICY. I like! Next time I shall eat the steak.

For dessert, we had chocolate fondue. Today outing arising from yesterday chit-chatting on the Haagen Daaz chocolate fondue that we all had before.

 (p/s: all pictures taking using Nokia 8800 slider belongs to my cousin, Im still using the cheapo phone remember? so NO CAMERA PHONE for me and I didn’t bring my baby).

Gadget screening

One of the requirement during field work for EIA is land-use survey within 1/3/more km radius from the Project site. I applied the same principle to my visit to 1Borneo cellphone fair at the centre court today. I see lotsa promoter wearing Celcom blue tee and I guess, bluek.. another celcom promo tour. LOL.

What really attract me to go to the centre court was one roller banner with apple logo on it and ‘iPhone 3G’. 

My feet automatically shift my direction from going towards Charles & Keith to the centre court. LOL.

and guess what, I played with X1 today! OMFG.. it fits perfectly to my hand (hint, hint)

But… it cost about 3888MYR here as in 15 Nov 08. dang.

Then again, what directed me to the centre court was the partially eaten apple. the 3G in black.

This beauty cost about 3338 MYR for 8GB here.  

Lookie, lookie! Price for these two precious consist of my favorite numbers, 3 and 8! Good sign!  

I visited nokia booth as well. I was thinking, maybe I should opt for simpler phone. So I was checked out N85 today too. Cool spec. dual-slider. But since s500i, slider phone not good for me. This is the cheapest phone that I checked-out. 1788MYR.

Other than that, I visited HTC booth too. and checked out HTC Touch Pro. Impressive spec, nice QWERTY keyboard but very thick. Cost about 3099 MYR.

I wanted to try out HTC Touch HD, but they are running out of stock today. sigh. HTC Touch HD retailing at 3399 MYR. Not bad, another model to be iPhone-killer.

 

Oh god, please help me decide. 

Oh, and I was thinking of getting Blackberry Bold too. But what I don’t like about this is the commitment (to the service provider of course).

Another baby that will be under my observation for the next few months. HTC/T-Mobile G1 (or whatever the name is). This phone will be installed with the new OS from google, Android. More info here!

Hmmmm. But after all the screening etc, I can conclude that iPhone still hold the winner title for the most responsive screen that I’d ever play-with. Despite the shabby-spec and hardware requirement (2MP camera phone, oh come-on Mr Gates, you can do better than that!), I still love the safari and iTunes in it. 

HTC, Samsung and SE has come up with better spec that are comparable (and some, even better) than iPhone. but I still want …(fill in the blank).

aww I can’t write good gadget review.. as my opinion and liking will always tilting to mac products. LOL.

Sex and The City

I have never been a fan of the Sex and the City series (due to not really, really watching the series from the very beginning) and thank god for that! No offense people! I’m pretty much easily get addicted to series like the mentioned. My loss for not being in the hype & crazy over the series, storyline, haute couture & the NY life.

But hey! Its not too late to love the series! Ha,ha. I just watched the movie & I find myself in tears in a couple of scenes. Give me a break! I’m a girl too. I am allowed to get sappy & tearful over a couple of scenes, so.. :p
After the movie, I find that:
1. I fall in love with Mr Big character. I want my own Mr. Big *grin*
2. The story-line is pretty much like a fantasy reality. Oh how I love when Big proposed to Carrie with a blue Melono Blahnik but at the same time, yep, everyone can get rejected & brokenhearted. That is part of life.
3. I just love the soundtrack. I love the new Fergie’s Labels or Love song, Jennifer Hudson’s All Dressed Up In Love as well as old track being re-mix into house-easy listening such as Nina Simone-The Look of Love.
4. oh yeah! apple all the way! macbook pro. iphone. All the edgy-gadget in the movie

Which reminds me to get the see-thru hard shell cover for my Macbook. I drop by the shop selling Apple products & came across the guy i fight/flirt with over the apple products. So today I made a bet with him: If I’m not getting Leopard by September, I’m dead. LOL.
By few discussion with one Apple enthusiast, I decided to choose black case for my macbook. Reason? I own a white AND black Macbook! LOL. How cool is that?
Anyway, I love other color as well… lime green, purple as well as pink. awww.

I just came back from watching ‘Dark Knight’ at GSC 1Borneo. Alone.
Yep. I had my ‘me’ time just now. Watching the movie alone. nyehehe.
Anyway, I love the movie unfold. I love the Batman character. I love the Joker acting.

Heath Ledger / The Joker

I just looove the special effect especially when Batman trying to capture Mr Lau, the chinese business accountant from the building in HK and when the Joker’s trailer went upside-down (and suddenly everything become quiet) scene. Ha.ha.
When it comes to super-hero, I choose Batman over other superhero i.e. those wearing undies outside etc. I just love the Bruce Wayne/Batman character ever since I was little.
Yep, at one point, I said I want to marry to the Batman.
.. and that statement still true until now. mwhahahaha.

Had a hearty-meal slash my-favourite-cranberry-cooler-and-gourmet-chicken-&-mushroom-pie at Dome Cafe with Ren today for lunch at 1Borneo.

1Borneo Part 4

I am terribly exhausted from today’s outing. Ah. I woke up early as I need to be in 1Borneo at 8 am. We (2 executives & I) were late by then as we saw the Sagajuta big man helicopter already landed in front of the Auto City. 

The big boss already giving out speech when we arrived at the concourse. Ha.ha. As usual, we were super-late.

And then everyone ushering the boss for the grand opening,eh? Actually i really don’t know where are they going, we were just, tag along. LOL.

 

Owh, they went to the Sagajuta office for the… urm, launching.

Then off back to the concourse for the token of appreciation session, where every contractors, consultants, staff, etc were given certificates, voucher, air-tickets … etc.

Yes, me. LOL. We were too lazy to join other consultants sitting, so we decided to stand with the 1B staff.

I woke up early on saturday morning just for this! argh

and… that’s about it! The largest lifestyle Hypermall in er… Borneo. 

After the ceremony, we had breakfast at Kingfisher’s then I’m off to pick Piare, Gugu, Piare’s friend & Ren up. We were driving around the town, Sutera, Tanjung Aru beach & off to 1Borneo, again. Had lunch at pizza as every other shop packed with people. Then Gugu saw this when we were in the level 2.

Gugu: I want to ride that Piare! *LOL.

Gugu was having  blast at Booboo land (Not sure whether I spell this correctly). LOL. 

When we were on the way back to the car, I came across this. Located at the ground concourse, next to M.A.C cosmetic & GUESS shop. Could it be something that I’ve been waiting for in KK???

nyheheheehehe. Let’s not make any assumption. Let’s just wait & see. *grin*

Oh btw! I saw the document/laptop bag in Braun Buffel!! The one that i fall in love with when I saw that bag in the Buffel outlet in the Gardens! ah. I soooo want that!

 

I will look handsome carrying my document and macbook with this bag. mwhahaha.

1Borneo Part 3

This would be another short post from me today as I am extremely exhausted & my sore throat getting worse. I can’t even swallow my own saliva. ah. Totally in pain the entire evening. 

Yesterday was even worse. During the consultant-client meeting, my left eye start developing lots of discharge. Definitely an eye infection. After 5, I went to the pharmacy to get the antibiotic eye-drop to relieve the eye & somehow kill the bacteria and/or virus. 

Anyway, nothing much happening at work today. I started off by doing some unnecessary formatting for my mixed development report. The client scheduled to get the final EIA report from me, in one month time. I got 1 month to finish it up. ah! I can’t wait for my first EIA report! I submitted my EMP report last month for the Labuan Project though.

Today, Jessie & I went to Devi’s for tea/dinner. I had my much-anticipated rawa thosai & mutton while Jessie had a banana leaf rice & mutton too. Been like a month since i met her, so we were catching up with each other!

Then we off to CPS to get my robitussin cough drop for the throat & she wanted to buy DVD. We managed to get plain sleeveless at Palm Square too. ha,ha. 

Since the night is still early, we decided to go to another place for a drink. After 10 minutes driving around the town, thinking where to crash & chill, we settled to Upperstar Damai. Ha,ha. 

I had lime juice & i guess it irritates my throat even more.

So now my throat suffering from masala tea, lime juice, fries & spicy mutton. Oh help!

Tomorrow I gotta wake up early as me and another 2 colleagues have to go to the 1Borneo launching at the site office. ah. The boss can not attend since she’s away, somewhere. 

Of course after that, I will pick Ren, Piare & her friend and we’re off to… 1Borneo again? LOL.

We’ll see.
