I woke up with a mild sore throat due to the old aircon blowing to my face. *cough*
My roommate and I had breakfast with the boss and her husband at the hotel coffee house. The food was, plain. urgh.
First destination on day 2 of the Manila trip was to the Rizal Park. It is located at the northern end of Roxas Boulevard, overlooking Manila Bay.

Drop by handicraft shop before moving on to the next landmark.

Ford Santiago was the next historical landmark destination! :)

Manila Cathedral. Beautiful church! As also known as Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

Then, off to 168 Mall. Shopping! wooohooo!

Had lunch at Joybilee Jolibee! weeeee!

SM Mall of Asia. The largest mall in the Philippines. The third largest in the world!

I bought these! YUMMY! I tell you! Especially the hershey’s chocolate on top. yums!

and had dinner at the Mall of Asia. Glorious food!

P/s: Pardon me for the lack of material to read in this post. Heaps of pictures though. :)

I’m back in Malaysia in one piece! wee! Though I’m in terrible condition upon reaching the KKIA T2 (damn salmonella!) but overall, I’m good.

4 days holiday in Manila was fun! I had a great time sightseeing, shopping & of course, snapping pictures. We arrived at Clark Airport at 16 30 hours & hurriedly get shuttled by the tour operator to our hotel in Malate, Manila.

The trip from Clark to Manila take approximately 2 hours drive. I love the highway & the scenery. Clark looks like a cowboy town to me. Clark is actually a former Air Base for United States Airforce which carries a significant historical contribution to the world especially Vietnam War. What really amazed me was the electrical transmission.

Can you locate the 2 electrical guys trying to fix the wires? *ho,ho*

We stayed at Palm Plaza in Pedro Gil cor M. Adriantico St., Malate, 2 blocks away from Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila. From the website, the hotel looks decent. It does indeed looks decent but I feel like suffocated staying in it (OK now i sound like a brat but I can’t stand the narrow corridor, old aircon unit & sulfuric smell of hot water (due to water derived from volcanic area i pressume). Ah how I wish the next time, I would stay at Hyatt. Afterall, Hyatt always been my favourite hotel-chain. :)

Had first filipino-crusine at the Robinson Mall, few metres away from the hotel. It was a yummy-licious food & I wallop everything as I was starving. Ha.ha.

After dinner, off to night life! I noticed that there would be at least one police to guard every outlet, even 7-Eleven!

The tour guide brought us to one of the club at the other side of the town. We went to the club to watch, urm agogo show.
Before entering the club, we have to surrender our cameras. Yep. As I expected, the show showing the um… acrobatic ladies dancing to the music, au naturel. It was an eye-opener to see the show.
But what sadden me was, those ladies will be waiting in two rooms with a long-rectangular windows (imagine aquarium in the seafood restaurant) while customer will take a look at them and choose which one they desire to see them on stage. or some place else.
That process sadden me, not to say I object entirely but I feel sad that the whole situation looks like: i.e. you are in the seafood restaurant and choosing which fish to be cooked from the aquarium. Sad.

Some do really want to be agogo girls but some desperately need the job to fed their families. I can see from their face. Some do love their job but some feels like they have to work for the job.

p/s: Sorry for the long overdue post. I have written this right after I’m back in Malaysia but I’m just not in the mood to publish it to the net.

I will be going to Philippines for four days. weeeee :)

This blog will be temporarily closed for 4 days.

I will be back on the 2nd September 2008

Happy Merdeka Day to all (in advance)!

Mabuhay!

Finally, after 3 weeks of boredom (thanks to me being a lazy bum) I painted the town red! Literally.

Prior to that, kart came to the house to send some goodies she bought for me and Ren. Thanks Kart for the unicorn! :) I’ll pass it to Ren when I see her. He.he.

Anyway, had a Big mac moment with Jessie at Api-Api’s. Decided to hit the Api-Api outlet instead of the usuals as I hunched that it would be crowded with people (saturday yo!). We went back to the mall to check out some shoes as I am in desperate need of one or two pairs. Ha.ha. End up buying 2; one black 1-inch wedge with black strap & a white 2-inches sling back from another store. Well, those two are the nicest among all & meet the criteria I wanted; comfy, plain-nice & presentable for work. :)

One day, maybe my trip to Manila or when I go back to KL for a round of shopping, I’m hoping that I could get hold of those yummy handbags & Shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo. I always have this mental image of me in Armani suit & Ferragamo leather. Yummy. Ha.ha.

Yeah, i know I’m being materialistic. Well hey, everyone are! So don’t be so naive & said, no- I’m selfless creature living in this world trying do goods to everyone. Everything is made up of matter. So you are saying you are not one? So what are you? Angel? LOL.

I am online window shopping again now & I come across Ferragamo’s Marisa shoulder bag. It looks normal but i LOVE it. I want, I want!

Marisa shoulder bag

nyway, another reason Im going out today is to find another set of work-attire. I can’t seem to get the ONE. Ahhh.. how I wish I’m in KL right now! I will march to Raoul or Zara and buy their set of pinstripe suits & heaps of cotton long-sleeve shirts. Ahh! and perhaps I can drop by Godiva outlet & get myself a Godiva Belgian Blended. Seems that Pavilion has everything to offer for me because everything I want is THERE! Largest Forever 21 outlet in Malaysia (as compared to the one in 1Utama), Ferragamo, Marc Jacob, J.Co, Zara & even NICER GSC cinema. Of did I mention I went to watch movie there with the Singaporean guy & we really enjoyed the comfort of GOOD hospitality from the staff, COMFY seat but too bad, we watched sucky movie. So, yeah.

So my point here is, KK is the lousiest place to shop! Of course you can get good bargain here but most of the shop selling honk-y clothes. Not that I’m against Honk-y style or anything but I appreciate good quality stuff & craftmanship. I don’t mind paying hefty price for a bag or clothes as long as it is durable & one of the kind

Oh, and FINALLY! I managed to get a high-waisted skirt for a cheaper price than the one I saw in Warehouse, Bangsar Village 2. That one cost about 50 pounds? gosh! I got mine for less than a 100RM! :)

High-waisted skirt

So now I’m a proud owner of high-waisted skirt! I can be the next Sarah Jessica Parker! Hahahahaha! Dream on.

Jessie & I went to the nearest Starbucks for a break from shopping frenzy. When we walked in to the outlet, I saw one HOT indian/multiracial guy with a laptop sitting alone outside. I saw him checking me out! and he saw me checking him out too! hahahha. He’s a total HOTTIE. :)

Mua!
