Woooohooooooooo!! Rafa beat FedEx in Wimbledon in a five-set, almost five-hour final!
He won over Federer with 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7.
Can you imagine? He won Roland Garros AND Wimbledon in the SAME summer?
But the question is: How on earth the king of green got beated by the king of clay in green?
OK, I don’t know either, I didn’t watch the final, was too busy with something else.

.. But the clock held 9.15 for hours. -Norah Jones, Sunrise.
Ha.ha so true! Especially for lazy bummer like me. The clock held 9.15 when it’s already 11.00 for the last 2 weeks. Serious!
But not today! Today I managed to drag myself out of bed before 10. LOL. Had my quick breakfast of coffee + donut, put on my tennis shoes & headed to the tennis practice wall. FINALLY. Hooray!
The first 15 minutes, the weather was awesome even it was already 9.50 am. After the first 15 minutes i suffered from the sunlight heat and the hard court heat coming out from the concrete floor. I feel like I’m in the sauna! Served me right for not being an early bird. I wasn’t really serious hitting the ball today though as I was just trying to get used to the surrounding & the wall. I got to get used to the flat tennis backboard as I’m used to the curved backboard tennis wall back in UM.
My forehand sucks but I still maintain the habit of one-handed backhand. Ball serve is still OK. So overall, I got to get used to the surrounding here & improve on my forehand.
Oh and I think there’s something wrong with my grip too. I am using the continental grip but seems that my hand gets so tired hitting the ball especially my fingers. Hmmm… maybe because of I haven’t been playing tennis so quite sometime. Served me right, again! Ha.ha.
Anyway, I can’t wait for Australian Open 2008! I will support (you-know-who) Rafa &
Mr FedEx! ha.ha.
Human minds work in a very complicated & unpredictable way. No scientific evidence able to interpret the how your mind works & how it relates to your emotion & soul. Not even in physics able to describe on what we called ’soul’. Isn’t it? Or I may be outdated with the current research on that (please do inform me if this is not relevant anymore) but how do you interpret your dream? I had a very nice, and I don’t want to wake up from last night’s dream. Ah! I’m married to Mr Rafa in my dream. LOL.
But what does it mean? As usual, I google up the topic again; and here goes..
‘To see a marriage in your dream, signifies commitment, harmony or transitional period. You are undergoing an important developmental phase in your life. The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.’ From dreammoods.com
How relevant is that to me? I, mua, in this transitional stage of my life & I’m about to commit to something i.e work. ok maybe the first part of the interpretation is true. But what about the second part?
‘The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.’
Meaning that I should get together my former characteristics & consider the qualities & characteristics of the person I’m marrying in my dream.
Hmmm… qualities & characteristics in Rafa? He’s super good in tennis & super fit too. Perhaps this is my mind interpretation of ‘ Ida move you ass to the tennis court & start exercising/playing tennis. Ha.ha. I’ve been telling myself for the past 2 weeks to get myself to the court & start hitting the ball.
So, yeah. Problem solved.
I LOVE this one!
“An apple a day keeps Bill Gates away!”
No hurt feelin’ Mr Gates!

P/s: I’ll get my Leopard soon. *sob sob. I’m way behind. BTW. I got a very wierd & yet nice dream last night: Mrs. Rafael Nadal, is mua. ha.ha! FUNNY.
8pm news showing some heated argument on what they called it ethnic cleansing. I am not particularly interested in discussing this topic as I might get ‘accused’ of might spreading different perspective that might differ from the country aspiration even though internet is one of the platform where you can write anything to speak your mind, so i can write anything i want.
Well i personally feel there is something wrong with the society, education system, mindset etc as to why some people feel they being ‘cleanse’ by the government. WE got to change the mindset of living ‘harmoniously’ to living in ‘UNITY’. The way I see now, here in West Malaysia is that we live in harmony within our own circle. NO. THAT is not how we should live! We should live in unity; all together, in one place instead of having one Kg Baharu here, China town there, etc.
I am not ashamed to admit this but during my early stay in KL, having to find friends in the university; I was taken ABACK on the way people label you; that malay girl- that indian guy. OR asking you to segregate into your race to line up. My whole life I never get to be called as ‘malays’ you see. Back at home, we called or describe people by their look or the way he/she behave at that particular moment and NOT by their race. I feel we need to ‘change’ that mindset as to not label people by their race. For god sake, we’re moving forward to achieve to be in the developed countries economically & we should change our mindset towards that too. Not becoming more racist & all.
Gosh!
Anyway, enough of all this. We should start smile, talk to each other and shake hands. ha.ha. I just came back from tennis practice court. I need to work more on my forehand volley. Oh, also I’m starting to picking up this bad habit of one hand backhand. It should be okay if I am comfortable with it but somehow I should start 2-hand backhand for a good shot. I am so going to miss my tennis practice court in UM; the one opposite Law Faculty. That is MY place in the varsity.
Finally! Someone translated Rafa’s speech during the Exhibition match in KL. You can view it here! ☺ He said thank you for coming & hoping to see you soon! me still in cloud 9; he smile & waved!! (Refer to my blog post earlier).
Going to bathe now. Later!
OMG! It’s 12.23 am 22 November 07 & Im terribly exhausted from everything.
OK I don’t know how to spill everything here as I have sooo much mixed feelings, memories etc to jot down here & im sleepy. I MUST write it off now before i forget all.
I went to Shah Alam with Sharon on the 20th Nov 07 & checked in to the nearest hotel to the Melawati Stadium. Had briyani lunch at the Tesco next to the hotel & it was delicious! It is the kind of restaurant specializing in the nasi briyani.
At 5 pm we started walking to the stadium. It took us 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the stadium from the hotel. It was drizzling when we were walking. Managed to get snap few pictures with the banners etc. ha.ha. typical me!
Anyway, when we arrived there, we somehow ended up at the entrance of the VIP corporate box & i saw 3 Brabus black with Ritz-Carlton logo on the driver door. I whispered to Sharon that I bet those Ritz-Carlton car brought over the athletes to the stadium. I guessed it right! It was 5.30 pm when we saw the car parking there, so Nadal & Gasquet must be inside already. Gosh, they were so damn early to the game!
They open up the door around 6.30 pm & we were among the few who got in to the stadium. We bought the souvenir book for 25 bucks with a lucky draw number & Im holding number 001! ha.ha. The lucky ones will get a chance to get upclose & personal with Nadal & Gasquet! wow! Anyway, Im not the lucky ones. sigh.
We were quite dissapointed with our seats. We bought the cheapest ticket (RM83) & it was way too far to see the game. We didn’t even bring any binocular. So, yeah. Quite dissapointed.
Anyway, after a couple of minutes regreting our seats, some players starting to play at the court. One guy playing against 2 guys (Seems to be Malaysians; with one fair & another darker skin color) which I assume should be Malaysian tennis players. Ha.ha. and shockingly, the one guy at the other side of the court looks like Rafael Nadal! So I went down to the nearest I can get & see who’s the guy. I was right! It was HIM! So i snap plenty of his pictures (forehand & backhand warm-up) & 1 video clip.
I told Sharon whenever he facing us, just wave at him. I DIDN’T expect he would face us and he DID! It was the time when he’s trying to pick up the ball & we waved and guess what?? He WAVED back at us & SMILE! He was so shy! and we were so shocked & I missed out the part where he smiled at us. Im DAMN sure he smiled at us because we were the only people at one side.
We were soooo in cloud 9 over it! The game started with some local instruments music & ethnic dance as well as performance by Ruffedge. It was live-telecast to 50 over countries & was shown live in Starsport! he.he.
The game was fun to watch! I can’t remember all the details but there are some few VERY impressive shots from both players; super-duper high stamina from Nadal; Gasquet ONE backhand was SUPER IMPRESSIVE too! In the end, Nadal won.
After the game, we went straight to the VIP Corporate box entrance to wait for the players. We were there for about 30 minutes (Yes, that long; they have press conference inside & meeting with the lucky draw winners). By the time they went to their car, I did not managed to get their pictures. sad. so does Sharon to get signature. But before they leave, I grab Sharon & ran towards the car where I managed to get their pictures in the car. I was knocking on the car windshield but he didn’t look at me. too bad. Anyway, managed to get both of their pictures though. Check out photos in my Facebook!
Im currently in Bangsar Village, sipping my much anticipated drink- toffee nut latte!
yeay! finally its here! season greetings!
hahahha. i’ve been asking the barista when are they going to serve toffee nut in Starbucks everytime I order my drink. Ha ha and i get the same answer everytime. sigh.
but now its here! so Im going to enjoy it while i can! i love toffee nut latte. go and try it!
4.11pm – k im back in MC. Ah, such a tiring day. I don’t know why, I sleep more than before (8 hours/day) and still feel lethargic. SO basically I spent my morning and afternoon in Telawi Bangsar area (Yep, great way to spend sunday in KL).
As i walk around the area, I came across one boutique selling shoes & accessories. It’s called Elo. They have a very nice range of shoes with a reasonable price. Of course Im planning to buy one the moment i entered the shop but what really captured me was the bag. It is such a simple messenger-kinda bag with adjustable strap. It looks very neatly manufactured etc. I fell in love with the off-white bag & yes, bought it straight away. Moreover, it is less than 100 bucks!
ha,ha. there goes me shopping without thinking again. Since Im in Kl, i’ve created this unhealthy habit, of doing things unexpectedly. For example, last monday I was so damn bored in the room and it was raining the whole afternoon. I was a lil’ moody as well due to the weather. So when the rain stop, I feel like working out. At first I want to play tennis but since the rain just stopped, it is impossible as the court were still wet. Without further planning on what else to do i just slip on my Moire nike & workout attire & start jogging! Jogging is sooo not my forte! I ended up with muscle pull on both of my front thigh the next day. ha,ha. I feel good after jogging though. Must do that again sometime.
I can’t wait to go to the tennis tournament. I was at the bookstore in Bangsar Village reading one magazine; interview with Rafael Nadal & roger Federer by some local magazine (I kinda forgot the name of the mag tho’). Wasn’t much information there but it just trigger me to think of crashing their Cocktail Reception. ha,ha! Unfortunately I don’t have the VIP invitation of that reception. It’s going to be held at one of the restaurant in Starhill Gallery, KL. I soooo want to meet them in person! and take lotsa snap with them! Im still finding my way though!
Anyway, good weather now. will write again later tonight or something. gotta run to the tennis court because I feel like jumping around now (due to the high concentration of caffeine + toffee nut in my blood, lol).
Until then. ciao.
