OK this is the third year (or forth) that I’m blogging about the toffee nut-craving. It’s time of the year again when starbucks started serving toffee nut latte & frappucino. Nice.
I miss the sweet toffee nut taste in my mouth. Yep, you can not drink it on a regular term, you’ll get bored with it. However, this is a seasonal drink, so I kind of anticipated this drink towards end of the year – nearing christmas. Ah. I just love toffee nut. I may be exaggerating it too much but I don’t care, i LIKE it.
Had venti’s at the e-gate with my lecturer just now, while reading my botany lecture notes. How dry & boring the notes are (and remind me of the form 5 and/or matriculation biology where I have to memorize the structure of flowers), but since my left hand holding a toffee nut, I don’t mind digging my head to the notes.
Yep. I’m still studying for my botany paper. Wish me luck. Tooo much to read, tooo little time to digest. Ah, blame it on last minutes studying. Dang!
Yep. It’s been a depressing 2 weeks since I move to Penang. I hate to admit this but i think I’m homesick. I don’t miss the comfort of home or my parents (they call me everyday so what is there to miss) but I terribly miss the comfort of having my car to move around, meeting friends for drinks as well as overtime at the office. Yep. I miss working environment. I miss the laughter and tension in the office. I miss to have 10 minutes away from everything. I miss everyone in Core and most of all, I miss going out for movies.
On top of that, I am struggling to excel in the graphic studio class. I know I am quite un-skilled when it comes to sketching but to add on depression, I am in a circle of very highly skilled & talented people. So the pressure building up so bad until I burst. Yep.
On top of that, I keep on asking myself why I choose this path. I have a comfy and steady life back in KK and why do I choose to do the otherwise? Most people would be contented with what I have in KK. Good pay (for KK level), my own car, my circle of friends, things to do etc but of course those has limit in KK and that is why I decide on this. At the same time, I doubt myself whether I can do it or not. I mean, apart from the studio-load, I am damn good at everything else. OK, not everything.. I might have problem using theodolite etc. So up to now, I am still wondering why I choose to move here.
Penang has been a lovely place. I love all the old architectural buildings in Georgetown. The beaches? nahhh.. I’ll pass. I prefer Sabah beaches. I will soon, one day, if i get to find someone to go with, I will bring the tour guide book of Penang & my baby and visit all the historical places here & taking pictures. Only if I can find someone share the same passion as mine.
Maybe because I have yet to find my clique here, that I feel depressed and lonely. Imagine, my only human contact would be during classes, at the restaurant/canteen and when I am outside. Most of the time I’ll be at the studio and/or my room.
Enough of moaning about things. I am going to finish up my tiramisu & my favourite caramel macchianto & I am off to… Forever 21!!
I’m in Queensbay, btw. :p
p/s: I was in Borders just now, reading the first chapter of the Compass book by Tammy Kling & John Spences Ellis. I was in awe when I read the first sentence:
Sometimes you must let go of the life you had planned in order to make room for the life ahead of you.
*gasp* I am soooo getting the book. later.
Penang taxi going to use meter from 1 Aug onwards (read here). No more freaking 15rm to all over the island.
Landed in Kuching International Airport at 9 am, and here I am, sipping my caramel machiato in the Starbucks while killing time before I can check-in to the hotel. Piare’s still trying to check-in in LCCT and her flight scheduled to take off at 11.45 am from KUL. tee-hee.
Two thumbs up to the new international airport in here. Though it is a typically same design throughout the entire airport-chain in Malaysia (and seriously, KLIA way way bigger & better) but I feel like I’m still in the new Kota Kinabalu International Airport. (So very the same, mwhahahha)
I kinda missed the ol’ Kuching Airport with the hugeeee tribal motive at one part of the airport. Correct me if I’m wrong, because the last time I visited Kuching was exactly 5 years ago. LOL.
I woke up to a heavy rain this morning. KK has been raining almost everyday and its getting worse day by day. I’m glad Kuching is not as wet as KK but a lil’ bit cloudy. It is forecasted that Kuching will experience the same rainy weather this weekend. sigh. Blame it on the northeast monsoon.
Anyway, my father is in Cairo for some official visit to the Middle East. He is expected to be there for 3 weeks.
Hmmm and my mother isn’t feeling well at home. Kind of guilty leaving her alone at home but I already planned this trip with my friend and it would be unfair to her if I cancel the trip.
I’ll blog again later. In the mean time, have a nice weekend! and happy diwali!
I think I gotta check myself in to the rehab.
I need to detoxify my body. I need to stop my craving.
I need to stop drinking. It’s killing my body.
I’m addicted to caffeine.
I need my daily dose of caramel macchiato.
I need to stop, drinking, macchiato or caffe mocha. or even a black coffee.
ah.
Had a hearty-meal slash my-favourite-cranberry-cooler-and-gourmet-chicken-&-mushroom-pie at Dome Cafe with Ren today for lunch at 1Borneo.
Too lazy to write down everything. Let’s just use photos to describe everything.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.

My lunch!

Gourmet Chicken & Mushroom Pie

Dome’s Fish & Chips
After a failed attempt of shopping, we headed to the nearest stop for a coffee break. Oh I so love the high ceiling, overlooking Dome cafe & spacious area at the shop.

Yep, just opposite Dome Cafe

Me & ren chillin’

I can’t live without my venti, whip caramel macchiato

Ren with her oh-so-yummy dark mocha frap
Before heading back to the car, we drop by the shop that sells Apple products & I bought the macbook keyboard shield.

Can you see the rubber shield? it is almost transparent!
Yep I went to 1Borneo today as it is ‘unofficially’ open its door to public. Well, my first impression was, whoa, not bad lah. The developer still rushing to finish up everything. Basically the mall & its adjacent hotels are in the finishing phase but for condos, they are still struggling with the floor construction.
I hope this mall will have sufficient parking lot to accommodate the number of visitors especially during the weekend. The first shop that makes me go ga-ga was the French Connection! FCUK finally reaching KK!
There are some other bigger store open in 1B as compared to the one in Warisan such as Charles & Keith, Esprit, Billabong, Blush etc. Argh I can’t remember all the shops, but some that i take notice are M.A.C cosmetic!!, Braun Buffel!!!!, Tune store, Nine West, MNG, Crocs, GUESS, Euro Moda, Samsonite, and etc.
However, I can’t locate my Zara yet.
Owh, some of the cafe that I notice during my visit was Starbucks, Kenny Roger & RCH. We weren’t really walk to every lane & corner. mwhahaha.
Th GSC 1Borneo wasn’t that bad, as compared to the one in downtown. It is much more better. But it is incomparable to the Cineleisure Damansara! I sooo LOVE the Cineleisure The Curve!
I come across one blog that give in-depth information regarding the updates in Sabah. You can check it here! Bravo!
I went to 1B with si Adamz. He’s down in KK for some fam thingy. mwhahaha. Then we went off to Warisan Sq for lunch etc. I then went ga-ga over his iphone! warghghghgh. i want an iPhone!!
oh dang! Now I seriously want one. I have made up my mind. I’m getting iPhone over xperia X1! But of course I have to wait until end of this year (the earliest) to get my hands on the 2nd generation!
I met his ‘cute’ friend too & we hang-out at Starbucks Warisan & everyone went ga-ga again over gadgets. I brought along my macbook too, obviously. *rofl.
ah I can’t sleep tonight. I still can feel the iphone on my palm & fingertip! *Soi oh ko adamz. LOL.
Oh btw, 1Borneo is not located in the city centre. It is located along the Jalan Sulaman-UMS. So in order to increase human traffic to the Project area, they are planning to offer hovercraft service to transport people from the city centre & the airport. Cool eh. The reason being to transport people straight to the airport is that, 1B will housed 4 hotels, Tune Hotel, Novotel 1B, Mercure and BEST WESTERN Coutryard Hotel. The taxi ride will cost a bomb to transfer tourist from the airport to 1Borneo.
Could this kind of hovercraft will be another new added item to KK-Likas seaview ?
p/s: To all my DusunKadazan friends, and whoever celebrated Harvest Festival, Kotobian Tadau Do Kaamatan! Moginum kita (cheers) !! Ha.ha.
Hmmm… I’m thinking of driving to Karambunai beach tomorrow, alone.
I’m having tea at Starbucks, Gardens near to the connecting bridge between the Gardens & Midvalley now. Not much happening today. Just that I went to my final round of shopping. I bought stuff for mom & dad too. A bag for her & yummy pineapple tart for my dad. Meanwhile I bought heaps of stuff for me. Mwhahaha.
I think I have found ‘the one’! I was at Isetan, Gardens just now; looking for a bag. I have found, touch, hold & even smell ‘the one’. It is one of the Salvatore Ferragamo bag like the one I mention in my previous post (Click here!). The one is so gorgeous, pure off-white leather! I was dumbfounded when I look at those. dang! But then I didn’t get it despite the temptation to just take the bag & runaway from the store without purchasing it. ha.ha. It cost about 2 & half months of my salary!
ah! Wait till I save enough money, then I’ll definitely take that item to my collection. In the mean time, I bought the white hip CK bag after 3 times of back & forth trip from the Gardens to Midvalley. Ah. I found another off-white/greyish CK back in Robinsons store but cost 3 times of the price of the bag I purchased but its pure leather. Maybe next time!
Oh, no. No more next time for me. Next time would be Salvatore Ferragamo for me!
Other than that, I was trying to locate Tower Records at Midvalley but then I just realized that the store is not there anymore. I searched for it in the directory & seems that they are not a tenant in the mall anymore. So sad. I then headed back to the Gardens to the Rock Corner to buy a couple of CDs. Mainly I want to buy CD that is not available in KK for couple of genre like Bebop. I was hoping to get the 1950s live concert of Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall. I do have the copy of the album entirely in my iTunes playlist but I feel that I don’t mind investing on GOOD music. In the end, I bought another album of Monk & a Jazz compilation album (Thelonious, Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, etc). Oh btw, the guy helping me finding the Monk album is quite impressed with my taste of music. mwhahaha. Not so many young people is into Jazz Bebop nowadays.
I bought another rosy-color ethnic print skirt from Isetan. I have been eyeing on that skirt since last December. However, I want the skirt in apple green but only the rosy-red is available at a very discounted price. When I first saw that skirt, it cost almost 200 bucks but then today I bought it for just less than a 50. LOL.
good!
I bought another white-color bag for my mom too. I just remembered that the Mother’s day is just ’round the corner. So I bought the bag for her then.
The great one will pick me up here & send me off to the airport. ah. I’m gonna miss shopping in KL.
N’mind. I’ll come to KL in August again! For my convocation.
p/s: I was at the Machines, Gardens just now too & toying around with Macbook Air. Very impressive design but such an overprice item for not-so-impressive spec.
Yep, I’m officially 23 years old.
Can’t blog much now, I’m at Starbucks City Mall, online & I only got 10 minutes to kill.
And I’m rushing to my bodyjam session at 6.15! Later!
11.06 pm
I just got back home. Phew. So much of workload today.
Anyway, I started off the day rushing to go to the office. Not that I’m late, but I just, struggle to rush to go to the office. eh? LOL
Today is the first day working in the new room along with another 2 EIA executives, we were pretty much very loud in the office, along with the other one brought his laptop & me bringing the macbook to the office. So, yeah. I finished up chapter 3 & 4 today for my quarry project. yeay!
I leave the office around 5.30 pm & rushed to the starbucks for a 13 minutes of ‘online’ before my 6.15 pm bodyjam. LOL. I ended up rushing again to the gym & I didn’t finish up my mocha frap.
I really enjoyed today’s bodyjam session. I think I have found my long-lost passion; dancing. At the end of the session, the instructor approached me & suggesting me to take up the dancing instructor position at Y & said I’m darn good at dancing, so why waste the talent? I’m seriously considering it! Besides having fun at what I love to do, I can get a side income! I can do a part-time at Y! yeay. He will let me know at the next session (which is this friday). So I’ll update y’all about it later then!
To all my dear friends, thank you for remembering & wishing me a happy birthday. Yep, I’m a year wiser; hmmm. My sincerest thanks to Kart, Davyn, Nathan, Azirah, Piare, Gelisa (Gosh she’s always MIA but still remember my birthday, thank you dear Gel), Sidd, Mahfuz, Cath, Sheby, Cynthia, Sing-Yee, Lene, Grace deary, Sumi, Shanaz (thanks for the early birthday card all the way from JB! muaks), Adamz, my cousin, Renaaaa, Dan, and so on. Sorry those name that I didn’t mention here, the list is tooo long but I really do appreciate the wishes. The thoughts that count right?
A special thanks for dear Jessie for the birthday dinner. You stuffed me with too much sushi! We had dinner at the Hana Japanese Restaurant, City Mall. Nice food, great ambience, perfect hospitality. I give 5-stars to the restaurant!
And, thank you for the cute pink peep-toe! You know I fall in love with the heel the moment i lay my eyes on that shoes. Thank you again
I am SOO going to wear this tomorrow!
On the way back home, I was kinda raced with another black V6 perdana from the Luyang to the Damai highway. LOL.
Too bad, the great one totally forgot that today is my birthday. The great one always be the first to wish me, but guess not this year. The great one probably busy with the exhibition at KL Convention Centre starting tomorrow. Cest la vie. Can’t expect everyone to remember about you. Enough said. The great one only called me when I was at the Starbucks with J after dinner & thought that tomorrow would be my birthday & hoping to be the first to wish me. Guess the great one would be the last to wish me this year.
I’m kinda addicted to Stop & Start by OneRepublic, Touch My body by Mariah Carey, 4 Minutes by Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & With Yoy by Chris Brown. Ah. Can’t stop humming it in the car & in the office. LOL.
Finally, after 3 weeks of boredom (thanks to me being a lazy bum) I painted the town red! Literally.
Prior to that, kart came to the house to send some goodies she bought for me and Ren. Thanks Kart for the unicorn!
I’ll pass it to Ren when I see her. He.he.
Anyway, had a Big mac moment with Jessie at Api-Api’s. Decided to hit the Api-Api outlet instead of the usuals as I hunched that it would be crowded with people (saturday yo!). We went back to the mall to check out some shoes as I am in desperate need of one or two pairs. Ha.ha. End up buying 2; one black 1-inch wedge with black strap & a white 2-inches sling back from another store. Well, those two are the nicest among all & meet the criteria I wanted; comfy, plain-nice & presentable for work.
One day, maybe my trip to Manila or when I go back to KL for a round of shopping, I’m hoping that I could get hold of those yummy handbags & Shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo. I always have this mental image of me in Armani suit & Ferragamo leather. Yummy. Ha.ha.
Yeah, i know I’m being materialistic. Well hey, everyone are! So don’t be so naive & said, no- I’m selfless creature living in this world trying do goods to everyone. Everything is made up of matter. So you are saying you are not one? So what are you? Angel? LOL.
I am online window shopping again now & I come across Ferragamo’s Marisa shoulder bag. It looks normal but i LOVE it. I want, I want!
nyway, another reason Im going out today is to find another set of work-attire. I can’t seem to get the ONE. Ahhh.. how I wish I’m in KL right now! I will march to Raoul or Zara and buy their set of pinstripe suits & heaps of cotton long-sleeve shirts. Ahh! and perhaps I can drop by Godiva outlet & get myself a Godiva Belgian Blended. Seems that Pavilion has everything to offer for me because everything I want is THERE! Largest Forever 21 outlet in Malaysia (as compared to the one in 1Utama), Ferragamo, Marc Jacob, J.Co, Zara & even NICER GSC cinema. Of did I mention I went to watch movie there with the Singaporean guy & we really enjoyed the comfort of GOOD hospitality from the staff, COMFY seat but too bad, we watched sucky movie. So, yeah.
So my point here is, KK is the lousiest place to shop! Of course you can get good bargain here but most of the shop selling honk-y clothes. Not that I’m against Honk-y style or anything but I appreciate good quality stuff & craftmanship. I don’t mind paying hefty price for a bag or clothes as long as it is durable & one of the kind
Oh, and FINALLY! I managed to get a high-waisted skirt for a cheaper price than the one I saw in Warehouse, Bangsar Village 2. That one cost about 50 pounds? gosh! I got mine for less than a 100RM!
So now I’m a proud owner of high-waisted skirt! I can be the next Sarah Jessica Parker! Hahahahaha! Dream on.
Jessie & I went to the nearest Starbucks for a break from shopping frenzy. When we walked in to the outlet, I saw one HOT indian/multiracial guy with a laptop sitting alone outside. I saw him checking me out! and he saw me checking him out too! hahahha. He’s a total HOTTIE.
