Oh pukima punya weather. Why it has to be raining every single day? astaga.
And since the closure of the damned gym, I have no place to workout – that is convenient to me to go after work (and preferable near to my office and/or located on my way back home).
Ok FINE, Likas sport complex is just 2 minutes away from home but … I love dancing-workout as well as weight-lifting (and yes, they do have this kind of exercise at the sport complex too, WTF).
Anyway, work caught up with me & rainy seasons too.. so working-out becoming less a routine for me. and here I am, gaining 2 kg after new year.
I’ve started to walk and/or jog at the nearest jogging track but i keep on bloating up. Would it mean that I take more calories more than i burn it? Urgh. I hate this.
I fcking wanted to jog today after work but the fcking rain started to pour right before 5 pm. darn.
i’ve been pushing myself to jog. I’m not a jogger. I hate to jog but I got to jog now to increase my metabolism. I need that to keep fit & to maintain my weight. arghghghgh.
Maybe my menstruation coming up. That’s why I breakout & I’m emotionally unstable plus I feel bloated & I crave for more caffeine & carbs. Urgh.
Anyhow, what am I having?
Hershey’s extra dark pure espresso dark chocolate with coffee bits miniature. You can smell too much anti-oxidant & taste like tahi kopi. mwhahahaha!

YUMMY. I tell you.
Shit. I need to pick up that tennis workout back. I should be doing indoor sport. squash perhaps?
We’ve come to the end of the year again, and anticipating to enter the new year of 2009. So, what’s you accomplishment this year? what have you archived and what’s not? For me, I have archived half of the the new year resolution & another half, still continue struggling to achieve it. Let’s list down my accomplishment for 2008:
(Refer to my New Year Resolution (31/12/2007) post)
List of things I hope that I can achieve in 2008:
1. To be a braver person
2. Discover my potential; job-wise, talent-wise etc
3. Trying to be extrovert ( OK, now i sound desperate.lol)
4. Try to have more fun with friends
5. Save! save & save!
Comment:
1. Yep, I am a braver person than before now. I can drive all the way to the north & south by myself. I can try to fit in the the group of people I never thought would be as fun as dull as they look. ha,ha.
2. I am still discovering my potential etc. But the question now.. which road I want to take..?
3. Erk. I’m extrovert now than before I started working. So, fine
I’m happy with it. woooohooo.
4. Indeed! I had a blast in a large group outing as well as spending time with a couple of close friends. yep.
5. Erk… not yet achieve this as all I’m doing this year is to spend, spend & spend. lol. Shall carry this resolution to next year. bluek!
What do I want to achieve in 2009?
1. Have more (and more) fun! Trip to Fiji with bestie perhaps?
2. Enroll into MTech programme. yep!
3. Register myself as assistant consultant;
4. Appreciation of nature & knowledge;
5. To be very serious in photography (Photography is crucial in scientist daily life, as well as tree-huggers). Yeah, I’m taking at least 200 photos for my field work;
6. My own crib (with the illustrated interior & finishings from the previous post mentioned) in Tropicana/Dsara/Mutiara/anywhere nearby the campus;
7. Start back on my work-out regime! erk.. this include polishing tennis skills, start to jog, muscle build-up, I want to join back Bodyjam (!!),
8. (This is crucial) To overcome my hydro-phobic (sounded like I’m some sort of intermolecular forces)
Ok peeps! Got to go back to work! and to plan a New Year dinner tonight
Have a blast new year! Cheers.
In the mean time, enjoy the random shots.

Newlywed photoshoot at Melinsung Bay
Its funny that everything that I planned today doesn’t go like it supposed to be. I supposed to seek advice from one of the hydraulic engineer on some questions asked from the EPD and I scribble down what I want to talk to him. When I’m on the phone with him, I don’t even follow the sequence of what I scribbled. LOL.
Same goes with if it’s not raining, I’ll go to Likas jogging track for power-walk and/or to tennis court.
Guess what, no raining and I didn’t go for power-walk and/or tennis.
Instead, I drove down to Devi’s to satisfy my craving for indian food. I had rawa thosai, mutton and a teh tarik. Yummy.
Then I drove to the opposite of Api-Api and wanted to do something ‘interesting’ to my hair. (OK, OK, I’m going to highlight it.. bored with plain black). Upon entering the salon I was greeted by friendly english-spoken (finally) lady and the senior stylist.
At last, I finally found the place for my hair in KK!
I always go to the salon in Telawi, Bangsar for my haircut and treatment when I was based in KL. I always love the ambience, and the staff. They are very friendly to me because I’m a Sabahan and they all are Sarawakians. LOL. So I feel like home when entering the place. And of course, the famous Sarawakian hairstylist based in his Bangsar outlet. He was the first person to cut my hair in KL and I’m absolutely LOVE the way he cut my hair. Of course the fees a lil bit higher than the normal rate but I’m satisfied with the result, so it’s okay.
Winnie, another senior stylist in Bangsar outlet is the first person to color my hair and I so love the result.
Upon entering the premises just now.. I can feel that I will feel that ‘feel good’ emotion as what I’ve experienced upon leaving the Bangsar outlet.
I can’t wait for my thursday appointment with the stylist!
news extract from Thestar:
“GEORGE TOWN: What was touted as Big Bang, Penang has instead turned out to be Big Blow, Penang.
The seats are up, the court is ready, but with the Kings of Tennis event, scheduled to be held at Esplanade here scrapped, organisers are looking at massive losses estimated at RM17.5mil (US$5mil).
The grass on the field near the historical Fort Cornwallis was dug up and the surface tarred before the tennis court was laid. Now, the organisers have to return the field to its original condition.
The three-day tournament was scheduled to start tomorrow and feature former world number one players like Pete Sampras, Mats Wilander, John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg.
However, the Swedish-based producers decided not to send the players to Penang after the local organisers allegedly failed to pay the promised funds.
Yesterday, the makeshift ticketing booth outside the Penang City Hall building remained closed while construction work had stopped.
State Tourism Development, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang expressed regret that the event had been cancelled.
“Tournament organising chairman Arianna Teoh called me on Tuesday night and insisted that the event would go on. But I am resigned to the fact that the international players will not be coming to Penang.
“The state government should not be held responsible for the cancellation as we only endorsed the huge project, and were not partners in organising it. The initiative was taken by a private organisation, with the state authorities only helping them get the venue,” said Law.
He revealed that the state had waived the RM2mil bank guarantee needed for the organisers to set up the structures at the Esplanade Heritage Site. A check with the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) office also revealed that the RM200,000 rental for the usage of the Esplanade field has not been paid.
Law said the council would get tough on the organisers if they failed to keep their agreement to restore the venue to its original condition after the structures are brought down.
“Even with the cancellation, the organisers are responsible for the restoration of the field. If they don’t comply, action will be taken against them.
“The Kings of Tennis event is a good lesson for the Penang government to be more careful and we will not simply endorse future projects in the state,” added Law.
Meanwhile, Gerakan Youth Tanjung Division chief H’ng Khoon Leng, who visited the venue, hit out at the state government for not checking the organisers’ background before endorsing the project.
“It is a big embarrassment. I am also shocked that the MPPP allowed the organisers to destroy the field at the heritage site to put up the venue,” said H’ng.
Teoh, a former Miss Malaysia, could not be reached for comment.”
WOohoooo!

I went to the tennis court for a round of workout. LOL. Guess I was not bad considering that I have not played the game for 4 months. Well, of course I was playing against the wall. I have no one to play with here. dang sad. But yeah, I was practicing at the training wall.
I went to McD drive-thru after the game. Ha ha. I know, I know! It’s quite far out considering the distance from my house to the tennis court. But yeah, I did went to the Sulaman McD just for the sake of driving along the Likas Bay
.. But the clock held 9.15 for hours. -Norah Jones, Sunrise.
Ha.ha so true! Especially for lazy bummer like me. The clock held 9.15 when it’s already 11.00 for the last 2 weeks. Serious!
But not today! Today I managed to drag myself out of bed before 10. LOL. Had my quick breakfast of coffee + donut, put on my tennis shoes & headed to the tennis practice wall. FINALLY. Hooray!
The first 15 minutes, the weather was awesome even it was already 9.50 am. After the first 15 minutes i suffered from the sunlight heat and the hard court heat coming out from the concrete floor. I feel like I’m in the sauna! Served me right for not being an early bird. I wasn’t really serious hitting the ball today though as I was just trying to get used to the surrounding & the wall. I got to get used to the flat tennis backboard as I’m used to the curved backboard tennis wall back in UM.
My forehand sucks but I still maintain the habit of one-handed backhand. Ball serve is still OK. So overall, I got to get used to the surrounding here & improve on my forehand.
Oh and I think there’s something wrong with my grip too. I am using the continental grip but seems that my hand gets so tired hitting the ball especially my fingers. Hmmm… maybe because of I haven’t been playing tennis so quite sometime. Served me right, again! Ha.ha.
Anyway, I can’t wait for Australian Open 2008! I will support (you-know-who) Rafa &
Mr FedEx! ha.ha.
Human minds work in a very complicated & unpredictable way. No scientific evidence able to interpret the how your mind works & how it relates to your emotion & soul. Not even in physics able to describe on what we called ’soul’. Isn’t it? Or I may be outdated with the current research on that (please do inform me if this is not relevant anymore) but how do you interpret your dream? I had a very nice, and I don’t want to wake up from last night’s dream. Ah! I’m married to Mr Rafa in my dream. LOL.
But what does it mean? As usual, I google up the topic again; and here goes..
‘To see a marriage in your dream, signifies commitment, harmony or transitional period. You are undergoing an important developmental phase in your life. The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.’ From dreammoods.com
How relevant is that to me? I, mua, in this transitional stage of my life & I’m about to commit to something i.e work. ok maybe the first part of the interpretation is true. But what about the second part?
‘The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.’
Meaning that I should get together my former characteristics & consider the qualities & characteristics of the person I’m marrying in my dream.
Hmmm… qualities & characteristics in Rafa? He’s super good in tennis & super fit too. Perhaps this is my mind interpretation of ‘ Ida move you ass to the tennis court & start exercising/playing tennis. Ha.ha. I’ve been telling myself for the past 2 weeks to get myself to the court & start hitting the ball.
So, yeah. Problem solved.
