We’ve come to the end of the year again, and anticipating to enter the new year of 2009. So, what’s you accomplishment this year? what have you archived and what’s not? For me, I have archived half of the the new year resolution & another half, still continue struggling to achieve it. Let’s list down my accomplishment for 2008:

(Refer to my New Year Resolution (31/12/2007) post)

List of things I hope that I can achieve in 2008:

1. To be a braver person

2. Discover my potential; job-wise, talent-wise etc

3. Trying to be extrovert ( OK, now i sound desperate.lol)

4. Try to have more fun with friends

5. Save! save & save!

Comment:

1. Yep, I am a braver person than before now. I can drive all the way to the north & south by myself. I can try to fit in the the group of people I never thought would be as fun as dull as they look. ha,ha.

2. I am still discovering my potential etc.  But the question now.. which road I want to take..?

3. Erk. I’m extrovert now than before I started working. So, fine :) I’m happy with it. woooohooo.

4. Indeed! I had a blast in a large group outing as well as spending time with a couple of close friends. yep.

5. Erk… not yet achieve this as all I’m doing this year is to spend, spend & spend. lol. Shall carry this resolution to next year. bluek!

What do I want to achieve in 2009? :)

1. Have more (and more) fun! Trip to Fiji with bestie perhaps? :)

2. Enroll into MTech programme. yep! :)

3. Register myself as assistant consultant;

4. Appreciation of nature & knowledge;

5. To be very serious in photography (Photography is crucial in scientist daily life, as well as tree-huggers). Yeah, I’m taking at least 200 photos for my field work;

6. My own crib (with the illustrated interior & finishings from the previous post mentioned) in Tropicana/Dsara/Mutiara/anywhere nearby the campus;

7. Start back on my work-out regime! erk.. this include polishing tennis skills, start to jog, muscle build-up, I want to join back Bodyjam (!!),

8.  (This is crucial) To overcome my hydro-phobic (sounded like I’m some sort of intermolecular forces)

Ok peeps! Got to go back to work! and to plan a New Year dinner tonight :)

Have a blast new year! Cheers.

In the mean time, enjoy the random shots.

Today, as in 7 August 2008 I, (fill in full name) have graduated from University of Malaya with Honors in Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science and Management). ☺

It was rather a memorable event in my life as I celebrate it with the love ones: my parents & my closest friends in the varsity. ☺

Though the great one wasn’t there to see me getting my scroll from the Toh Puan Pro Chancellor, the great one called me when I was just receiving my scroll during the event. Great timing. ☺ I’m happy that everyone that I cared for were there, physically & er… virtually.

I started off my day by having a nasi lemak with my parents for breakfast. Had a more-than-normal portion of the nasi that I kind of regretted at first (but eventually I was thankful that I ate ‘that’ much in the morning).

Around 10 am, I rushed to Telawi Bangsar for a hairwash at my favourite salon. I still love the salon ambience & the hospitality of the stylist and the staff. I changed to my kebaya & did a little touch up at the Bangsar Village 2 powder room. LOL. Funny, that I chose my favourite mall to be my official venue for graduation. Ha,ha.

Met Shanaz & Sumi at the opposite Dewan Tunku Chancellor. We took heaps of pictures and wore our robes there as well. ☺ Grace then joined us & around 1.30-ish pm we finally headed to Examination building to queue up according to alphabets.

I was smart enough to bring a sling bag; so I brought along my smart card (the card used to announce my name during the ceremony), id card, 10 dollar note, mobile phone, my MAC eyeliner (which one girl mistakenly think it was a pencil & want to borrow it to write her name, LOL), my compact powder & lip gloss AND not forgetting! My digital Olympus camera! My birthday present from the great one is used during my convocation day. Nice. ☺

I seated next to a cute, shy Chinese guy and a friendly malay girl. Oh yeah, I was the most happening girl around as I was so brave to even talk on the phone & snapping photos in the hall as the graduates are not allowed to bring anything especially mobile phone AND camera. LOL. But of course, I know the etiquettes and all, stop snapping pictures when the ceremony about to start and the Pro Chancellor started walking in to the hall.

My name was called perfectly, I waltzed to the Pro Chancellor gracefully & daddy took a snap of me walking on the stage with sexy calf shown. Ha,ha. And of course, I bow before getting the scroll from the Pro Chancellor and walking in front other parents to go back to my seat with a (tunduk) a little as a respect to elderly (It is one of the malay custom to show your respect to the elder people when you walk pass them).

And when the ceremony ended, I called up my parents as I was waiting for them at the centre stage so I can take photos with them at the stage. I met Wawa, my next-door neighbor for 2 semesters when I was in 12th College. Met with another SPAS clan too and took pictures with them.

Oh by the way, it was a wet ceremony; rain started pouring down when I was about to enter the hall.

After the ceremony, my parents and I went to the Exam Hall & I signed up for a studio snapshoot with the university official photographer. I signed up for 2 packages; family and self-photos with a bookcase background. LOL. Nice. ☺

Tomorrow I will return the robe & get the stage photos. Will be meeting my friends tomorrow too. ☺

Mommy bought a nice bouquet of pink roses for me. Kisses. Shanaz gave me a teddy bear & I have yet to give them my gift for them. I bought 4 different flavor of Hersheys kisses that I have yet to wrap it nicely. Aw.

Will give it to them tomorrow then. ☺

Oh I sang the university’s song when the event was about to wrap. Act that I didn’t expect I would do. But hey, I love my university.

It’s tuesday & I just came back from my short trip to KL for the sole purpose of getting the convocation robe & other important items required for the convocation ceremony.
It was rather hectic journey & i end up rushing to everywhere as I was in KL for less than 24 hours or so.
The actual event take place on monday 28th July 08 where the graduates have to collect their graduation stuff prior to the ceremony. The counter scheduled to open at 8.30 am. I arrived at the Examination Building (BP) 40 minutes early & I am already the person no. 991 queue up to get number. It was a rather unpleasant, dreaded event & I am DAMN sure this thing going to happen. Inefficiency, middle name of the university.
Every year, thousands student going to graduate & participating in the convocation ceremony but still no active approach to overcome the problem. Typical university.
Anyway, I met plenty of course mate during the event & got to hang out with Shanaz as she was down in KL just to collect the stuff for her & Sumi.

After the event, I managed to squeeze in ‘rush’ shopping & bought myself the ever-fugly mary-jane crocs in red ruby. ew ew.

I can’t never imagine myself wearing crocs.. and here i am, with a pair of red crocs.
Ew. ew.
owh, and I managed to get the discounted AX tee from the Gardens. teeeheee.

This post is dedicated to one of my close friend when I was in KL.  We first met during the orientation & she became my room mate throughout the orientation week in the University.  At first I was worried that I may not click with anyone as I am the type of person that will not get too friendly with other people.  Thankfully, we ‘clicked’ and this lead to a beautiful 3 years of friendship (and counting).

Reasons why I’m comfortable be friended with her is because we listen to the same type of music, we have the same taste in fashion, we love to talk ‘interesting’ things & we help each other out when one in trouble. Other than that, we both are the only child. LOL. So we understand each other as I mention in my previous post that the only & only is quite different from others (the way we think & see things).

So anyway, Happy Birthday to you my dear friend! May another year brings you more happiness, laughter & all the good thing in the world! :)

 I owe ya a birthday dinner! Claim it when I’m down in KL :)

.. But the clock held 9.15 for hours. -Norah Jones, Sunrise.

Ha.ha so true! Especially for lazy bummer like me. The clock held 9.15 when it’s already 11.00 for the last 2 weeks. Serious!

But not today! Today I managed to drag myself out of bed before 10. LOL. Had my quick breakfast of coffee + donut, put on my tennis shoes & headed to the tennis practice wall. FINALLY. Hooray!

The first 15 minutes, the weather was awesome even it was already 9.50 am. After the first 15 minutes i suffered from the sunlight heat and the hard court heat coming out from the concrete floor. I feel like I’m in the sauna! Served me right for not being an early bird. I wasn’t really serious hitting the ball today though as I was just trying to get used to the surrounding & the wall. I got to get used to the flat tennis backboard as I’m used to the curved backboard tennis wall back in UM.

My forehand sucks but I still maintain the habit of one-handed backhand. Ball serve is still OK. So overall, I got to get used to the surrounding here & improve on my forehand.

Oh and I think there’s something wrong with my grip too. I am using the continental grip but seems that my hand gets so tired hitting the ball especially my fingers. Hmmm… maybe because of I haven’t been playing tennis so quite sometime. Served me right, again! Ha.ha.

Anyway, I can’t wait for Australian Open 2008! I will support (you-know-who) Rafa &
Mr FedEx! ha.ha.

Mua!
