Yep, I’m officially 23 years old.
Can’t blog much now, I’m at Starbucks City Mall, online & I only got 10 minutes to kill.

And I’m rushing to my bodyjam session at 6.15! Later!

11.06 pm

I just got back home. Phew. So much of workload today.

Anyway, I started off the day rushing to go to the office. Not that I’m late, but I just, struggle to rush to go to the office. eh? LOL

Today is the first day working in the new room along with another 2 EIA executives, we were pretty much very loud in the office, along with the other one brought his laptop & me bringing the macbook to the office. So, yeah. I finished up chapter 3 & 4 today for my quarry project. yeay!

I leave the office around 5.30 pm & rushed to the starbucks for a 13 minutes of ‘online’ before my 6.15 pm bodyjam. LOL. I ended up rushing again to the gym & I didn’t finish up my mocha frap.

I really enjoyed today’s bodyjam session. I think I have found my long-lost passion; dancing. At the end of the session, the instructor approached me & suggesting me to take up the dancing instructor position at Y & said I’m darn good at dancing, so why waste the talent? I’m seriously considering it! Besides having fun at what I love to do, I can get a side income! I can do a part-time at Y! yeay. He will let me know at the next session (which is this friday). So I’ll update y’all about it later then!

To all my dear friends, thank you for remembering & wishing me a happy birthday. Yep, I’m a year wiser; hmmm. My sincerest thanks to Kart, Davyn, Nathan, Azirah, Piare, Gelisa (Gosh she’s always MIA but still remember my birthday, thank you dear Gel), Sidd, Mahfuz, Cath, Sheby, Cynthia, Sing-Yee, Lene, Grace deary, Sumi, Shanaz (thanks for the early birthday card all the way from JB! muaks), Adamz, my cousin, Renaaaa, Dan, and so on. Sorry those name that I didn’t mention here, the list is tooo long but I really do appreciate the wishes. The thoughts that count right?

A special thanks for dear Jessie for the birthday dinner. You stuffed me with too much sushi! We had dinner at the Hana Japanese Restaurant, City Mall. Nice food, great ambience, perfect hospitality. I give 5-stars to the restaurant!

And, thank you for the cute pink peep-toe! You know I fall in love with the heel the moment i lay my eyes on that shoes. Thank you again

Pink ribbon peep-toe

I am SOO going to wear this tomorrow!

On the way back home, I was kinda raced with another black V6 perdana from the Luyang to the Damai highway. LOL.

Too bad, the great one totally forgot that today is my birthday. The great one always be the first to wish me, but guess not this year. The great one probably busy with the exhibition at KL Convention Centre starting tomorrow. Cest la vie. Can’t expect everyone to remember about you. Enough said. The great one only called me when I was at the Starbucks with J after dinner & thought that tomorrow would be my birthday & hoping to be the first to wish me. Guess the great one would be the last to wish me this year.

I’m kinda addicted to Stop & Start by OneRepublic, Touch My body by Mariah Carey, 4 Minutes by Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & With Yoy by Chris Brown. Ah. Can’t stop humming it in the car & in the office. LOL.

I can’t believe I’m beginning to be a gym bunny. I can’t stop going to the Y and I spend about 2 to 3 hours there, 3 times a week (at least).

I can feel my biceps, lattisimus dorsi & upper abs getting firmer! yeay! ah, and shoulder getting sexier too. mwahahaha. All because of the resistance-workout, cardio & dancing session.

For those first-timer, I reckon y’all to get a personal trainer (PT). They can assist you to achieve your target goal either to increase your fitness level, to lose weight, to tone up or whatever it is. I had 2 PT when I was in KL so this time, PT wouldn’t be necessary for me to achieve my goal as I already plan my own fitness programme.

The first thing you got to identify is the reason why you want to do workout. Some just want to
1. Acknowledging everyone that they ‘go‘ to the gym to work out;
2. Checking people out;
3. To lose weight;
4. To pump up their muscles;
5. To simply killing time in the gym because they got all the time in the world. mwahaha.

For me, I want to increase my fitness level particularly my basal metabolic rate (BMR) as mine is slightly lower than average (means that I can bloat up in no time if i don’t control my food intake; low-metabolism rate, yada yada) & to increase my upper torso strength.

At the same time, I want to reduce my body fat percentage and pump up my muscles. LOL.
So, in order to achieve that, I must do at least 30 minutes of endurance (particularly with machines like treadmill, elliptical trainers or bodyjam session) & a 3 set-20 rep for each major muscles I want tone up. Ok, below is my fitness programme:
Lower body:
1. Leg curl 20 kg/15-20 rep/3 sets (muscle: Hamstrings);
2. Leg extension 20 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscle: Quadriceps);
3. Leg press 40 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles:Quadriceps, gluteneus, hamstrings, gastronemius, soleus);
4. Abductor 25 kg/20 rep/3 sets (muscles: tensor of fascia lata, gluteus)
5. Adductor 20 kg/20 rep/3 sets (muscles: v.v for abductor)
6. Glute 25 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: d butt)

Trunk:
1. Chest incline 10 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: pectoral, delfoids, triceps)
2. Lat machines 15 kg/25 rep/3 sets (muscles: Latissimus dorsi, biceps)
3. Total abdominal 15 kg 50 rep/3 sets (muscles: pectus-abdominis obliques, rectusfemoral ileopsoas)
4. Low row 25 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: latissimus dorsi, biceps, rhomboid)
5. Lower back 20 kg/15 rep/ 3 sets (muscles: quadratus lumborum, sacrospinal)

Upper body:
1. Chess press 10 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: pectoral, deltoids, triceps)
2. Pectoral machine 10 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: pectoral)
3. Shoulder press 10 kg/15 rep/3 sets (muscles: deltoids, triceps)

Thats all from me today. :)

p/s: I’m still figuring out how to connect my ipod to the treadmill. Been looking for the ipod dock but i guess i can’t open up the flap covering it. LOL. or the treadmill is not ipod compatible

I just came back from the City Mall. I used up my free pass entry today! I have yet to settle down my bill & officially becoming a member. At first I was kind of nervous because I kind of forgot how to use those machines (including the air glider & the treadmill, LOL), and worse when it comes to the weights. I’m used to the Cybex machines & this fitness centre is using another machines manufacturer. Not that its totally different, it is the same actually but well you know me, I’m being complicated again. Ha.ha.

Anyway, I did a half an hour cardio and one and a half hour on the weights. Seriously the cardio doesn’t really sweat me out. Perhaps I shall increase the level up to the more than average. lol. On the other hand, I struggle so hard to carry weight especially when it involves muscles around my upper torso. I struggle on arm press or anything that require my upper limbs. I can’t even do 15 rep for a 5kg weight. sob sob.

But when it comes to lower torso, haaa! I can do even 50 kg. LOL. No kidding!
I still remember my former trainer telling me how strong my legs are and how weak my upper limbs are. sigh. Guess it’s still true.

Anyway, trainer named Jason orientate me to the machines. Thanks to him! :)
Oh, and I guess I’m the only girl in the centre that carry weights. All other women were either at the cardio area or the yoga/pilates/body pump etc.
Ha.ha.

I’m dead tired now. Tomorrow I’m going to my project site! Gotta charge my camera as a back up. Hopefully my colleague charge the GPS device too. :)

I just came back from City Mall, Lintas with a white envelope & a receipt of a down-payment of a year of membership in Y-fitness. I can’t wait for Fitness First to open its outlet in KK anymore. sigh. A friendly fitness consultant guy gave me & Jessie a tour around the fitness centre & I got 2 reaction: sigh & OK lah.

Ha.ha. Alrite I can’t compare it with the fitness centre I have been to in KL. I was a member of this Lifestyle fitness & spa in Bangsar & a Sweat Club in Mid Valley (as now known as California Fitness). In 2006, Sweat Club was the BIGGEST fitness centre in Klang Valley. Shoot! SO many celebrity went there to work-out. Trust me! I was in d treadmill next to one local celeb (sorry that I can’t recall the celeb name as I’m not his avid fan, LOL). But yeah, he look hawt! :)

California Fitness too has its own sauna, BIG locker room & a 5-star shower room. They even provide cotton bud for you! LOL. The only fitness centre with a jacuzzi, swimming pool & a basketball court! THERE! Not to forget, my personal trainer was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. I keep on flirting with him. HA.HA.

Let me list down my findings after the 15 minutes tour to the Y just now. OK, now lets just called d fitness centre as Y. Lounge & interior design is NOT impressive, lighting is too dim, a lil’ bit cramped up around the weight-area & most of the people hang out/work out there would be men (Hey, I care more on the weight than cardio; so most probably I’ll spend time in the weight area); no free towel service; need to bring own lock for the locker; shower hall a lil bit cramped up too; Only 5 fitness trainer so far; NO free goodies/voucher from another outlet (I think they should give discount to the member in San Francisco Coffee since the outlet is just next to the Y).

OK, on the bright side; I get a comparable package price as in fitness centre in KL; the treadmill looks IMPRESSIVE with a huge screen ( I think you can play something there, haha); classes (yoga, pilates & those bodypump, RPM, Latin dance) is included IN the membership; I get free consultation/orientation to all equipments; and so on. (I’ll add later when I recall back what I’ve observed).

Despite the comparable advantages & disadvantages; I did sign up for the membership. Before becoming official member, the consultant gave me & Jessie a free 1-day trial. I will drag her to come with me to try out everything there. We shouldn’t waste that trial pass as it worth RM68 each and we got 4! :)

I can’t wait to go to the centre to try out things :) Ah how I wish I can get a cute trainer here in KK. ROFL.

Now i gotta recall my fitness regime/schedule. My previous trainer did plan out things for me. It was like a 15-minutes warm-up on the cardio (either treadmill or the glider-thingy), then followed by a stretching in the bicycle-like machine. After a 5 minutes of stretching then I shall start with the weight-machines; leg, lower-back, back, torso, bicep, tricep & ended with a I-dunno-what-else. Then in between the muscle strengthening exercise I can go for another cardio & ended with a cardio too.

OK i gotta go bathe now! :)

Mua!
